FAQs
How long do therapy sessions last?
Standard therapy sessions last 50 minutes. Extended sessions are 75 or 90 minutes. Couples sessions are usually extended. For IFS therapy, 75-90 minutes is also recommended.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
I reserve a limited number of slots (which may be filled) for clients in financial need. Ask me if you are looking for a reduced rate and be prepared to discuss your financial situation.
Do you accept insurance?
No, I do not accept insurance. However, you may be able to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider and I can provide you with a super bill. Please be aware that insurance companies usually require a diagnosis to be listed on the super bill.
Do you see clients remotely or in person?
Currenlty I only see clients remotely via telehealth.
How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?
Please email or call me for a free 20-minute consultation to get know me, ask any questions, and see if we're a fit.
What's the difference between therapy and coaching?
I presently offer psychotherapy to UK residents. For clients who reside elsewhere, I offer coaching work. Coaching is often more focused on achieving a specific set of goals. However, there is substantial overlap between therapy and coaching and the difference depends substantially on the provider.
For deep-set and severe mental conditions, psychotherapy is more appropriate.
